Betty Lou Harrison

Betty Lou Harrison passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on May 5, 1935, to James and Alice Merryl in Brantford, Canada, Betty spent her married life with her spouse, Charles, and their two sons, Rob and Darryl, in Medway. While raising her family, Betty found passion in her work as a medical secretary.
Betty was a spirited woman who always spoke her mind. She was an exceptional seamstress, a prolific writer, and an enthusiast for traveling and the finer things in life. She is survived by her children, Rob Harrison (Cindy) and Darryl Harrison (Ria); her grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, James, Elodie, and Iver; her great-grandchildren; and her brother, James Merryl (Karen).
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Alice, and her siblings Harold Merryl (Hellen), Marcella Bobbinger (Adolf), Raymond Merryl (Madi), and Mary O’Conner (Rich).
Visitation: Friday, January 3, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond.
Funeral Service: Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Father Michael Wunder at Harris Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
