Lawrence Carl Headley (Carl Mitchell)

January 21, 1948 - November 19, 2024

Lawrence Carl Headley, fondly known as Carl Mitchell or Zinders, passed away peacefully with his children at his side on November 19th, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born on January 21st, 1948, in Trinidad & Tobago to Pearl Mitchell and Carl Headley, Lawrence was the second youngest of his parents' children. He migrated to Canada in the early 70s, where he married Judy and had three beautiful children: Jinelle, Miguel, and Rushelle. He also had three wonderful sons: Ray, Duane, and Sherard.

In his younger years, Lawrence, fondly known as Zinders, was celebrated for his outstanding football skills. He also cherished being part of the pan fraternity, proudly playing with his pan side, Invaders, and beating iron for them.

Lawrence lived his life to the fullest, embodying kindness and an infectious zest for life. His generosity and passion will be deeply missed.

Lawrence is reunited with his siblings Angela Headley, Jocelyn Martin, and Keith Jackman. He is survived by his siblings Desmond Headley, Cheryl Cape, Cheryl Carvallo, Hayden Headley, and Curtis Headley; his grandchildren Rochea, Irie, Kai, and Amaya; as well as loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces (special mention to his first niece, Karen), and nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, November 30th, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario.

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the De Stefano Funeral Home Chapel, with a Livestream available. Please join via the Livestream link just prior to the service time.
