Daniel Rudolph Hebert
1941 – April 2025
A few weeks shy of his 84th birthday, Daniel Rudolph Hebert passed peacefully in his sleep and, as his family fondly shared, was “beamed up to the Enterprise.”
Beloved husband of the late Mary Lue (née Savage, 1982) and the late Mady (née Weiland, 2016). Cherished father of Darlene (Edgardo), Julie, and Daniel Jr. Proud pépé to Cézanne. Step-father of Peter, Daniel (Bev), Paul, and Christopher. Loving step-grandfather to Cory, Cole, and Nicole.
Dear brother to Richard (Virginia), Rose Thomson (Don), and Susan Ross. Brother-in-law of Jim Savage (the late Edith). Predeceased by his parents Denis and Marie Hebert. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was a respected tool and die mouldmaker and dedicated Chrysler employee. Known for his quiet wit and skilled hands, he could fix just about anything. He loved cribbage, crossword puzzles, and Star Trek — particularly the wisdom of Jean-Luc Picard.
Daniel took great pride in maintaining his pools, even if he rarely swam in them. He was known for his helpful spirit and subtle humor.
A private family service was held with burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
In Daniel’s memory, donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Families First – South Windsor, 3260 Dougall Ave., Windsor, Ontario.
“Live now; make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again.” – Jean-Luc Picard
