HURD, Helen Elizabeth Hurd - On March 2, 2024, Helen Elizabeth Hurd passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 95.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Nancy McLeod (Greg); grandchildren, Riley McLeod, Jamie McLeod (Angel) and Emma McLeod; her son, Tom Riley (Ellen), her son, Michael Riley (Jennifer); and her brother, Cameron Eckert.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Moore Riley, husband Roy Hurd; and partner, Ken Hyde as well as her son, John Riley.
Helen was born on January 28, 1929, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences.
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her exceptional cooking and baking talents and was also a devoted gardener.
In her spare time, Helen enjoyed many activities including travelling, golf, tennis and needlepoint. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice. The family would like to thank the amazing, caring and compassionate staff at Kipling Acres Long Term Care for their help and support during this difficult time.
