Joan Herrington

February 9, 1946 – November 29, 2024

Joan Herrington (née McComb), aged 78, passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on November 29, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Harry Herrington, Joan was a devoted daughter to the late William and Vera McComb and a loving mother to Bev Dunlay (Dan) of Campbellford and Cheryl Sleeman (Scott) of Cobourg.

She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley (Peter), Valerie (Chris), Kayla (Shane), and Sierra (Robert), and a proud great-grandmother to Landon, Lucas, Logan, Alexa, Peyton, Connor, Marley, and Theo. Joan is survived by her sister Janis Vieau (Rick) of Cobourg and was predeceased by her brothers Gary McComb and Carl McComb.

Joan was born and raised in Campbellford, where her love for family remained a central focus throughout her life. She spent most of her career working at World’s Finest Chocolate and will be fondly remembered for her dedication, warmth, and loving spirit.

A Spring Interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Joan’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #103 Vimy Room, 34 Bridge St. W., Campbellford, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
