Beloved wife of Henry Hiemstra. Loving mother of Terry Hiemstra (Freda) of Brownsville, Chris Hiemstra (Christy) of Aylmer, and Wendy Dieleman (Sam) of London. Cherished grandmother of Joanna, April (Cam), Gwen, John, Justin (Jess), Caitlyn (Tyler), the late Jordan (2016), Hannah, Jude, Jeremiah, and Timoteo. Great-grandmother of Maya, Eloise, and Madeleine.

Ann will be dearly missed by her brother Bill Jonkers (Gertie) and sister Tina Daling (Ralph), as well as her nieces and nephews.

Born in Assen, The Netherlands, on March 13, 1944, Ann was the daughter of the late Arend and Tina (née Rieber) Jonkers. She dedicated her life to teaching at Immanuel Christian School and, alongside her husband Henry, founded Clovermead Apiaries. She was also a devoted member of Bethel United Reformed Church.

Visitation will be held at Bethel United Reformed Church on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Aylmer Cemetery.

In memory of Ann, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home.
