Evelyn Anne Hockley

September 2, 1924 – March 22, 2025

Evelyn Anne Hockley passed away peacefully at Orchard Villa on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, John.

She leaves behind her loving son Ernie (Heather), as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, and extended family, all of whom were touched by her love, wisdom, and kindness.

Evelyn became a proud member of the Uxbridge community in 1946. Together with her husband, she owned and operated the local IGA grocery store. They were active members of the Curling Club and Lawn Bowling Club and contributed to many local charities, including the Uxbridge Women’s Auxiliary.

Evelyn will be laid to rest at Uxbridge Cemetery beside her husband, John. Her enduring community spirit, generous heart, and lively presence will be dearly missed.

The family invites you to celebrate Evelyn’s life on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the lower level of Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge.
