HORNBY, Gwenyth ”Joan” (nee Clark) - September 12, 1927 - September 16, 2015
Peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Whitby with her family by her side at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Len Hornby (1971).
Cherished mother of her three children, Grant (Loretta), Nancy McCarten (Don) and Craig (Lori).
Adored grandma to Taylor, Aaron, Mitchell, Nolan and Connor.
Step-grandmother to Sonya, Rosy and Kyla. Dear sister of the late John “Gordon” Clark.
She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the 4th floor nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Whitby.
A special thanks to Peggy Rice for her compassionate care of mom.
Family and friends will be welcomed to the MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 for a visitation on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 1:30-2:30 pm, service to start at 2:30 pm in the Chapel.
Private interment to follow.
