John Bodfan Hughes

January 15, 1936 – December 23, 2024

Surrounded by his family, John (fondly known as Jack) passed away peacefully in his 88th year on December 23rd, 2024.

Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Bruce) and father to seven children: Darlene Bastianelli (Brian); Cindy Gillani (Aleem); Leann MacLean (Wayne); John Hughes (Corie); Todd Hughes (Danielle); Scott Hughes; and Tyler Hughes.

He will be missed by his grandchildren: Honor, Chloe (Brandyn), Brittany, Brian (predeceased in 2010), Cairo, Zachary, Lincoln (Tamara), Lexus, Taj, Seth, Ezra, and Jaxon; and great-granddaughters Ella and Zara.

Jack will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends who share in our loss.

No service will be held; however, if you wish to celebrate John’s life, donations can be made to JW.org or the Canadian Cancer Society.
