LEE, Hyacinth Lee - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hyacinth Lee on December 17, 2020. Hyacinth passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 85, at the Scarborough Health Network, Birchmount Campus.
Hyacinth aka (Aunt Hya, Hya, Po and Lucy) was a loving wife to Dr. Arthur George Lee, mother to Janet, Frances, Paula, Wayne, Brian, Stephanie (d) and Maurice (d), grandmother to Samantha, Kevin, Sean, Jason, Mindy, Tien, Cameron, Nicholas, and Ami, and great grandmother to Jonah, Olivia, Cruz, Remi, Levi, Sarah, and Jake.
Hyacinth enjoyed cooking Sunday lunches for the whole family, sewing, crochet, and took an active role in caring for her grandchildren. In her later years, she could usually be found completing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private memorial service on December 27, 2020 at 11:30 AM. A live streaming link will be shared via email closer to the date for extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation, Cardiac Care Program.
