In Loving Memory
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nellie Angela “Joey” Imhoff (née Danylak), who passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She lived 98 remarkable years, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness that will forever be cherished.
Born on July 7, 1926, in Alberta, Canada, Nellie was known to all as Joey, a name that became synonymous with warmth, generosity, and a heart full of love. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was affectionately called Nanny, a role she embraced with endless devotion and joy. Her home was a place of laughter, comfort, eggs on toast, and cherished memories, where everyone felt welcome.
She was predeceased by her husband, Emery Imhoff (1997), and leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory: her daughters Lois Adams (Doug) and Rachelle Bozzo (Mike).
Joey was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ryan (Dannielle), Todd (Genine), Amanda (Johnny), Kayla, Deanne, and Kevin. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Owen, Liam, Myah, Hailey, Noah, Austin, Avery, Mykeala, Drake, and Karter, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Joey’s kindness and strength touched the lives of many, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. While we grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing she lived a full and meaningful life, and that her spirit will always be with us.
A celebration of her life will be held on February 22, 2025, at the residence of her daughter, Lois, where she resided in her later years—a place she always felt at home, surrounded by her family.
We will miss her dearly, but we are forever grateful for the love she gave and the lessons she taught us. Rest in peace, Nanny. You will always be in our hearts.
