EASSON, Irene Beatrice (nee COOPER) - With the love of her family surrounding her, Irene passed away peacefully, in Barrie, on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Irene was born in England, grew up in Verdun, Quebec and relocated to Toronto with her husband, Douglas.
Her world revolved around her family and she supported many organizations including the Catholic Children's Aid Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
She was a longtime parishoner of Transfiguration of Our Lord Church and member of the Catholic Women's League. Continuing her legacy of kindness and love are her children: Colleen (Gerry) Pollock, Ron (Patti), and Sandra (Frank) Bruno; and cherished nephews: Bruce (Wendy) Ball and Jamie (Jodie) Easson.
Her grandchildren: Lauren, Kevin, Erin, Jenna, Nicolas, Lucas, as well as Jessica and Jackie, were her pride and joy.
Visitation at Newediuk Funeral Home, 2058 Kipling Ave., Toronto, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Dr., Toronto, at 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow.
