Paulina Jacome
April 13, 1941 - February 4, 2025
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Paulina Jacome, who went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2025, at Markham-Stouffville Hospital at the age of 83.
Paulina was born on April 13, 1941, on the lush island of São Miguel, Azores. She was raised among eleven siblings and held deep affection for her childhood home, known for its volcanic peaks and green landscapes.
In 1961, Paulina married the love of her life, David Jacome, and together they immigrated to Canada in pursuit of a better future. A woman of resilience, she found solace and strength in her faith after experiencing great loss. Paulina was the first in her family to accept Christ, setting a spiritual foundation for her loved ones.
She is predeceased by her beloved son, David, and daughters, Lydia and Katrina. She leaves behind her devoted husband, David Jacome, her loving daughters Anna-Paula, Eve, and Martha, as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
Paulina was a woman of many talents—sewing, upholstering, painting, decorating, and organizing events with impeccable detail. She had an eye for fashion, a sharp business sense, and a love for adventure.
More than anything, Paulina was a woman of deep faith and generosity. She loved fiercely, forgave easily, and encouraged those around her to dream bigger and trust God more. Her greatest joy was worshipping her Savior, Jesus Christ.
