YOUNG, Jane Anna Belle (nee PETTY) - Peacefully at Port Perry Place Nursing Home, October 15, 2018, age 83. Only child of William John Petty (1947) and Helen Kathleen (nee Oke, 1993).
Beloved mother of Sara (Alan Smith) and Douglas (Sharda) Young, grandmother of Laura Smith, John and Ella Young.
Toronto born, this avid reader, Scugog cottager and bridge player, after retiring from teaching, served her community volunteering at the Port Perry library and museum.
It was Jane's generous wish that her body be donated to the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen Street. Reverend Elaine Hall officiating. Reception to follow.
