Johanna Maria (Jane) Jans-Beken

In Loving Memory of Johanna Maria (Jane) Jans-Beken, beloved wife of Arnold Jans-Beken for the past 65 years, who passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Jane was born in Boskoop, The Netherlands, on April 21, 1938. In 1953, she came to Canada with her parents, Nell and Anthony van Hevelingen, and her sisters Hetty (Jim) and Cathy. She was a loving mother to Frances (Derek) and Lisa (Andy) and a cherished Oma to her grandchildren, James, Jarrett (Jenalle), and Emma (David). She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family in Canada, England, and The Netherlands.

Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax), followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery, and a reception will follow at the McEachnie Family Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada or Myeloma Canada in Jane's memory.
