October 6, 1943 – February 21, 2025
Nancy passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at her home in Ballantrae, Ontario, surrounded by loved ones. Her passing followed a nearly five-year battle with pancreatic cancer, during which she demonstrated extraordinary resilience, strength, and determination.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Nancy moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1965. She dedicated 45 years of her career to McLean & Kerr LLP in downtown Toronto until her retirement in 2011. Nancy was an active member of Heron Park, Curran Hall, and the Tam Heather Tennis and Curling Club in Scarborough. More recently, she enjoyed her time as a member of the tennis club at Ballantrae Golf and Country Club, where she had resided since September 2021.
Predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Jemmett, in 2005, her older brother, Dr. Fred G. Bullock, in 2019, and her step-son, Brad Jemmett, in 2023, Nancy is survived by her devoted late-life partner, Dave Fellion, and her cherished grandchildren, Pierce Jemmett and Paige Jemmett (Dylan Thomas). She will also be missed by her grand-nephew, Jayden Burfield, sister-in-law, Renate Bullock, and her nephews and nieces in New Brunswick: Fred Bullock (Heather), James Bullock (Patricia), Daniel Bullock, Ana Bullock, Bella Bullock, Katherine Bullock, and William Bullock.
Nancy had a deep passion for sports, whether she was playing golf, tennis, jogging, biking, skating, curling, or simply enjoying baseball and other games on TV. She also found joy in puzzles, scrapbooking, and games, always eager to explore new hobbies.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her many loved ones, friends, family, neighbors, and former colleagues. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and incredible ability to remember and celebrate every important milestone in the lives of those around her will be cherished forever.
In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services. Cremation has taken place, and her remains will be scattered in her beloved New Brunswick by Dave and family, with a keepsake of her ashes remaining in Malvern at Burrows Hall.
Rest Peacefully.
