CORNISH, Jeremy 'Jerry' L. - (May 30, 1942 - November 19, 2016) -
Surrounded by loved ones, Jerry passed peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in his 74th year.
Beloved partner of 22 years to Sheila King.
He was a loving father of Simon (Sophie), Guy (Ruth), and James (Christine), and a loving friend to Sheila's daughters Allison and Meghan.
He was a proud Granpaw of Ollie, Honor, Henry, Flo, and Evelyn, brother of Debs (Malc), Nicki (Kevin), Pippa, and his late brother Rod, and will be fondly remembered by many other cherished family members and friends.
Jerry was nature loving, always gentle, deeply thoughtful, and will be especially remembered for his dry wit and wonderful sense of humour. We are grateful that he was able to carry on enjoying life with us these last few years. He tread lightly, and left things better than he found them. He will be deeply missed.
Jerry lived a simple life, please dress comfortably.
Donations in memory of Jerry Cornish can be made in lieu of flowers to the Durham Cancer Centre (via The Lakeridge Health Foundation) or to the Thickson Woods Land Trust.
Visitation at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME , on December 3rd at 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Celebration in the Chapel at 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
