Mack JoanMACK, Joan Elizabeth - Peacefully, in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 1, 2015, at the Brockville General Hospital Garden St. Site.

At 76 years Joan the Beauty Queen is survived by Russ the Cowboy her husband of 53 years.

Joan was born and raised in Brockville where she met and fell in love with her Cowboy. Together they loved and raised their sons Cameron, Dallas and Jason. Joan's family extended to three daughters-in-law who she loved as if they were her own; Jackie, Kelly and Melissa.

Nana loved and cherished her three grandchildren Avery (11) Emmett (10) and Bryce (22 months).

Joan was predeceased by her loving parents Garnet and Irene Gemmell and leaves behind her sisters Pat Lajoie and Linda Gemmell along with a host of cousins, brothers and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Joan's greatest love was her family, taking care of them and keeping them well fed.

Family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, Ontario on Wednesday November 4th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment.

In memory of Joan, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Joan's family would like to pay special thanks to Dr. Martin and Dr. Bryson and the nurses, staff and volunteers of the Kingston Cancer Centre and the Brockville Palliative care nurses for their compassion, care and kindness and to all our friends and family for their support during her illness.
