DAVIE, Jocelyn Mary (nee McDONALD) - Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, January 29, 2024, Richmond Hill, ON.
Loving wife of Bradley.
Dear mother of Tyler, Matthew (Emma), and Charlotte.
Proud grandma of Philip George (P.G.).
Predeceased by her mother, Norma; her father, Jack; and her brother, Jamie.
She is survived by her brothers, Randy, Ricky (Joan), and Steven; and her sisters, Mora and Laurie (Ronnie).
She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Jocelyn had a wonderful childhood in St. Andrew's West, ON, surrounded by her friends and relatives.
She attended Queen's University, graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Commerce, then moved to Toronto to pursue a career in financial services.
She married in 1985, and in 1990, she put her career on hold to devote herself to raising her children. Fourteen years later, she restarted her career and began work at York Region District School Board, until her retirement in 2019.
Throughout her life, she was involved in her community, playing piano and flute with a number of community bands, singing in choir, and most recently, as a member of PROBUS Club of Richmond Hill, and the Richmond Hill Horticultural Society.
She loved walking, biking, music, musicals, and her many beautiful gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2nd, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady Queen of the World Parish, 10411 Bayview Ave., Richmond Hill, ON.
An additional Celebration of Jocelyn's Life and burial will be held in St. Andrew's, ON at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
