SMIT, John - Passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2018 at the age of 85.
John was the beloved husband of Marie Smit (née Curtin) in their 57th year of marriage.
Much loved father of Ray (Arlene), Nancy (Roger), and Robert.
Opa to Brianna, and Great Opa to Alexis Smith.
John is survived by sisters Wil (the late Renius), Henny (Martin), Thea (the late Hank), predeceased by brothers Gerard (survived by Rita) and Hubert (the late Betty).
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 40 Russell Street East, Lindsay on Tuesday, June 26th at 11 a.m. followed by interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lindsay.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
