John Edward Kane

August 3, 1955 – April 14, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Edward Kane, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa, Ontario, at the age of 69, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

John was a loving father to Christopher (Victoria), Nicole, Jesse (Hilary), and Amanda (Pyrkhat), and a beloved grandfather to Charles, Emily, Lilly, Dezi, Natalie, Hunter, and Gabriel. He will be lovingly remembered by his former wife, Donna Kane.

John was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Frances, and his brother Gerry. He is survived by his brothers David (Kathy) and Michael (Cory), as well as many other family members and friends, including David Duquette, who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will take place at Oshawa Funeral Home on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at 12:30 PM. The burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, located at 355 Taunton Rd E, Whitby, Ontario.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
