It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Karel Ficko, who passed away at the age of 91, on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
He was born in Ropoca, Slovenia, on June 23, 1932. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Emilija (Maljevac), of 59 years; his children, Barbara (Wayne), Mary (Marjan), and Steven; his grandchildren, Renee, Matthew, Caroline, Grace and Holly; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at Ridley Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 6th, at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal (739 Browns Line, Etobicoke), at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Mississauga.
