Akbar Karimi, 87, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, due to old age.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Nadia and Lili, and his brothers, Ozhang (Hosain), Mostafa, and Mori (Morteza).
Akbar was predeceased by his beloved wife, Flor (Florance).

Born and raised in Iran, Akbar was a man of many passions. He owned and operated the beloved “Andisheh” bookstore,
where he shared his love of literature with his community. In his later years, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life:
tending to his garden, creating delicious meals, and taking long, contemplative walks. He cherished the companionship of his loyal dog, Feidel.

A die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Akbar could always be found cheering on his team.
He also had a keen interest in world politics, staying informed on current events.
He found solace and joy in Persian music, and his favorite film was the classic “The Great Escape.”

Akbar will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of family, and his passion for life.

Funeral Service & Interment:
A graveside funeral and interment will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery,
Lawrence West & Royal York gate entrance, 1567 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9P 3C4.
