Betty Diane Kay (Nugent) – Passed away on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024, at Hospice Peterborough in her 85th year. Betty was the beloved wife of Hugh Kay for over 66 years. Cherished mother to Charlene (Chris Albin) of Cavan, Ontario, David of Calgary, Alberta, Karen of Oshawa, Ontario, and Kenneth (Diana Turner) of Calgary, Alberta.

She was a loving grandmother to Steven Panes (Suzy), Jamie (Kaylee), Brendan, Nicole (Jack), Jordan (Ida), and Jazmyn (Billy). Great-grandmother to Joshua Panes, Sebastian Panes, Stella and Ruby Sanders, and Corgan Gray. Fondly remembered by her sisters, Irene Tait, Marie McLaren, Marge Jenkins (Lindsay), and predeceased by her brother, Murray Nugent (Sandra).

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Sunday, January 5th, 2024, from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
