Kelly Monica King

December 24, 1960 - February 20, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly peacefully at the Providence Care Hospital, Kingston, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 64.

Kelly (née Dunn) is survived by her husband and best friend, Reg King; her mother, Bernice Dunn; her children, Kristina (John Lutz) and Matthew; and her cherished grandchildren, Brayden, Kaytlen, Owen, and Cali.

Dear sister of Gary Dunn (Kim), Judy Shier (George), Jenny Cyr, and Tom Dunn (Corrine). She will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Harry Dunn.

In early 2020, Kelly reconnected with the love of her life. She embraced his family wholeheartedly, thriving in her role as a mother and grandmother,
always offering wisdom, warmth, and support. She had a special gift for making everyone feel seen and heard, always providing a listening ear and words of encouragement.
Her laughter filled every room, and her love was a gift she shared freely.

Kelly dedicated 42 years to healthcare, working at Kingston General Hospital, where she built countless cherished friendships.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and unwavering strength.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff on Heritage 2 for their compassionate care for Kelly.

A private family service will be held in the Chapel of Tompkins Funeral Home.
Later this spring, a celebration of Kelly’s life will take place at the Gananoque Legion, where she was welcomed and made many friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the UHKF Cancer Centre (www.uhkf.ca/Home) would be appreciated by the family.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Tompkins Funeral Home.
