Frederic Arthur Kingshott

July 5, 1934 ~ December 6, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Frederic. Fred passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, Ontario, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 6, 2024. Fred was born in Orangeville, Ontario, on July 5, 1934, to loving parents Frederic and Gertrude.

Fred married the love of his life, Arlene, and they spent a wonderful 73 years together, 69 of those being married. Together, Fred and Arlene grew their family and their love for each other, sharing so many wonderful years full of happy memories.

Fred and Arlene started their family in Canada, where they had two children. In 1960, they ventured to England for 3 months but liked it so much they ended up staying for 28 years, expanding their family to six children: Ricky, Lee (John), Kathleen, Darren, Avril (deceased 2024, spouse Wayne), and Beverley (Kees). Over the past 36 years, they moved back and forth between Canada and England, never really settling. Their most recent move back to Canada in October 2024 brought them closer to family.

He was the proud Pop of Caitlin, Shannon, Ryan, Andrew, Yolanda, Jake, Jason, Cassandra, Logan, Nathan, Emma, Christopher, Gabriella, and Karen, and a Great Pop to 18 great-grandchildren. Fred loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by all, especially by his sweetie, the love of his life, Arlene. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten.
