Jennifer Carol Breukelman (nee Kingsland)
December 25, 1962 - November 13, 2024
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jennifer Carol Breukelman (nee Kingsland) on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Markdale Hospital. Jennifer was the beloved wife of Mark F. Breukelman for 38 wonderful years and a loving mother to Katelynn (Jason) Miron, Kyle Breukelman (Mariah Alderson), and Neil Breukelman (Sanchia Lung). She was a proud grandmother to Noah, who brought her endless joy.
Jennifer was a dear sister to Aylene Stoner, Colin Kingsland (Maria Kingsland-Lugosi), and Ian Kingsland. Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret (nee Stubbs) Kingsland, Jennifer was also a cherished daughter-in-law of Fred Breukelman (Rose Stokes) and a loving sister-in-law to Jerri Breukelman (Pat Simon), Dina (Glenn) Smith, and Kim Vandervelde. She was a devoted aunt to Carnegie, Christine, Caleb, Candice, Melissa, Cheyanne, Jesse, Seger, and Keegan.
Jennifer was a loving and vibrant presence in the lives of her family and friends. She was an avid quilter, a passionate gardener, and loved spending summers swimming in her pool. Jennifer delighted in growing her own fruits and vegetables, baking—especially at Christmas time—and making her famous chocolate chip cookies that everyone adored. Her homemade jam was a treat shared with loved ones, and she found joy in “living off the land.” In retirement, she treasured every moment spent with the love of her life, Mark.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Jennifer’s Life at Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. To honor Jennifer’s love for the color purple, guests are encouraged to include purple in their clothing at the Celebration of Life or in their daily routines as a tribute to her vibrant spirit.
We offer our deepest sympathies to Jennifer’s family and friends during this difficult time. May her memory bring comfort and strength to all who loved her.
