Keele RobertKEELE SR., Robert Conway - (13 October 1919 6 November 2015) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Keele Sr.

He leaves behind the love of his life Doreen, his six children Ainsley (Mark), Guy (Margo), Robert, Howard (Lynda), Philip (Kim) and Andrea (John), five grandchildren, Strahan (Lynn), Matt (Evelyn), Keshia, Jacqueline and Michael and two sweetheart great-grandchildren Nolan and Kieva.

A Kingstonian, with a long family history in the city, he was predeceased by his father Frederick Conway Keele and his mother Mary who operated the Princess Bowls bowling alley, as well as his brother Gordon (World War II) and sisters Jessie and Joyce.

Bob is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Cathy, Gordon, David, Karen, Paul and their families.

As his granddaughter Jacqueline said, He was the best storyteller and grandfather to me, the best husband to my Nana, the best father to my dad (Philip) and his siblings. He had the best sense of humour, the best laugh, and the most welcoming arms.

He was a World War II Veteran (404 Sqn, Coastal Command) and proud officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force; retiring in 1968. He continued to serve Canadians as a public servant working as an Employment Counselor at, what was then known as, Canada Manpower; retiring in 1983.

Our world will never be the same without him. He was our Hero.

In accordance with his family's wishes there will be a private funeral ceremony later in the week.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
