Passed away suddenly at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on July 7,2018.

Eileen Jannack will be sadly missed by her daughter Vicky Lynn Jannack ( Bob ).

Dear partner of Kenneth Spooner.

Loving grandmother of Keith ( Predeceased) and Kirk ( Victoria).

Dear sister of Susan Sauve and Shirley Ellis ( Glen).

Predeceased by her parents Phyllis and Raymond and her brothers William, Thomas, Bernard and Gerald.

In keeping with Eileen's wishes cremation has taken place.

A Celebration f Life will be held at a later date.

Graf MillicentGRAF, Millicent Noreen May - Long Time Member of the Inverary Kingom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses

Peacefully at Trillium Ridge Community Care on Saturday, July 7,2018 in her 82nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Helmut.

Loving mother to the late Kenny (Karen), Rose Anderson (Doug), Rick and Jeff.

Cherished grandma of her nine grandchildren Chandra, Mikhaila, Joshua, Kim Letitia, Dylan, Kyle, Logan, Verity, and four great grandchildren.

Survived by her sister Muriel Fillion, loving aunt to all her nieces, and nephews, especially Keitha, Lindsay and Debbie.

Family and friends will be received at the Trousdale Funeral Home, on Friday, July 13, 2018 between the hours of 11-12pm, service to follow in the chapel at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Millicent’s memory would be appreciated by her family.

McWilliams RobertMcWILLIAMS, Robert Vernon - Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Saturday, July 7, 2018.

Robert Vernon McWilliams, at the age of 88 years.

Beloved husband of Myra (nee Miller) and dear father of Walter and his wife Melba Antonakos.

Also survived by his grandson Samuel and siblings Barbara McWilliams, Joyce Hunter, Irene McWilliams and Gordon McWilliams.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at Irvine Memorial Chapel, Maitland at a later date with interment to follow.

Sheppard DouglasSHEPPARD, Douglas Garnet - It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our brother, brother in law, uncle, and friend Douglas Garnet Sheppard, who passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday July 7, 2018.

Doug, born October 27, 1943, is predeceased by his parents Evelyn and George Sheppard.

He was the beloved brother of Ted (Pam), Margaret (Harold) Mills and Mary (Stephen) Goodchild.

Dear uncle of Alyson Sheppard (Scott Gerrie), Ted (Mary) Sheppard, Tim (Tara) Mills, David Mills (Breck Sheppard), Lianne Bowen, Mark Goodchild, Danny Goodchild (Jen McGongeal), and Laura Goodchild.

Great uncle to Jack, Luke, Teddy, and Beau Sheppard, Abby and Kate Mills, Carly Bowen and Quinn Goodchild.

Doug loved his home town of Gananoque and the St. Lawrence River.

He would often say it’s the best place to live.

He was a kind man who in spite of all his challenges enjoyed life and brought joy to others.

He will be missed by all who knew him. We would like to thank Dr. J. Taylor, Dr. Lee and his staff especially Michelle, the caring staff of Kidd 9 and to Tompkins Funeral Home for all their help and support through Doug’s illness.

Cremation has taken place. Further arrangements will be made at a later date.

Smith NoraSMITH, Nora T. (nee Donovan) - 1933-2018

Peacefully passed away at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) on Saturday, July 7, 2018. 

Nora, beloved wife of the late Jack Smith. 

Lovingly remembered by her children Donna Franklin (Rob), David Smith, Donald Smith (Elizabeth) and Dianne Izatt (Chris), her grandchildren Melissa and Kevin (Kait) Franklin, Jonathan (Crystal), Zachery (Amber) and Nicole Smith and Chad (Lauren) and Lindsay Izatt, and by her great grandchildren Chloe and Kolton. 

Nora was predeceased by her brothers Gerald and Leo Donovan and sister Helen Garrah and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. 

Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 10:00 - 10:50 am prior to the Liturgy of the Word Service in the Chapel at 11:00 am.  Rite of Committal will follow the service.

Dixon JoanDIXON, Joan Elizabeth (nee Rose) - Sadly, Joan in her 74th year passed away peacefully at Providence Care Hospital on July 7, 2018 after battling cancer for 22 years.

Born to George and Louise Rose (nee Vankoughnett) on May 21, 1944.

Loving husband and soulmate of 56 years to John Edward Dixon, cherished mother of son Dale (Cathy) Dixon, daughter Cindy Dixon, grandchildren Julie (Jason) Dixon, Cory Dixon, Kristina (Matt) Kelly.

Survived by brothers Elwood (Diana) Rose, Gary Rose, brother-in-law Larry (Celia) Dixon, and predeceased by brother Glen Rose.

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan found joy in singing and dancing, doing crafts and cooking (which her family never complained about).

Joan was truly an inspiration to many because of her strength and determination, her great sense of humor, her stubbornness and how family oriented she was.

Family and friends will be received at the Trousdale Funeral Home, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 between the hours of 10-11am, service to follow in the chapel at 11am, with interment following, after the interment everyone is welcome back to the funeral home for refreshments and fellowship.

Donations can be made in Joan’s honor to Cystic Fibrosis Canada and Loving Spoonful.

Kettle RobertKETTLE, Robert McLeod - Passed away suddenly at his home, in Kingston, ON; at the age of 70.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Vallerie (Stevens), of 48 years.

Devoted Father of Carolyn Kettle (Marc) of Calgary, AB and Robbie Kettle (Alexandra) of Kingston, ON.

Loving Grandfather of Keegan MacNeil, North Bay ON, Darbi MacNeil (Ryan), London ON, Alysha Kettle (JJ), Tyrrel Kettle, Kingston ON, Great-Grandson Carter Cambridge London, ON, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special family friends Blair Gaidies Oromocto NB, Vinnie MacNeil Petawawa ON and Kim Harkness Kingston ON.

Bob will be sadly missed by his sister Jeanette (Tom) Monahan of Peterborough, ON and his sister Debra (Rob) of Lindsay, ON.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Ernest & Margaret (Cruickshanks) Kettle of Dunsford, ON, and in-laws Thomas and Martha (Tolbart) Stevens of Geary, N.B and brother-in-law Willis (Ella) Tolbart from London ON.

The family would like thank, Police Officer Constable Clint Willis and EMT Kingston, ON for their support during our time of need.

Bob was born in Hamilton, ON, and his family lived in Peterborough until the family moved to the farm in Dunsford, ON.

Bob loved to play his accordion, and was a qualified teacher from the age of 16.

He was a member of the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music where he won numerous awards.

Bob proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1966 - 1996.

He joined the Military Band in CFB Esquimalt, BC; remustered to the Artillery in CFB Gagetown, NB and then as a Supply Tech in CFB Kingston, ON as well as he completed tours in Egypt and Bahrain.

Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday 11 July 2018 at 2:00 pm, Legion Branch 560 in the Limestone Rm, 734 Montreal St, Kingston, ON.

Beloved mother of Arthur Frederick Sovey (Christine) and grandmother of Sara. 

Daughter of the late Clinton Arthur Sovey and Glenna Goldfinch (Fenwick), and step-daughter of the late Donald Whitney Fenwick. 

Sister of Lawrence A. Sovey (Judy), Mary Ouellette and Connie Knox (Tom). 

Survived by several nieces, nephews and their families.

A graveside service will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery, 927 Purdy's Mill Road, on Wednesday, July 11 at 3:00 pm. 

For those who wish to attend, please meet at the cemetery office at 2:45 pm.
