Keele RobertKEELE SR., Robert Conway - (13 October 1919  6 November 2015) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Keele Sr.

He leaves behind the love of his life Doreen, his six children Ainsley (Mark), Guy (Margo), Robert, Howard (Lynda), Philip (Kim) and Andrea (John), five grandchildren, Strahan (Lynn), Matt (Evelyn), Keshia, Jacqueline and Michael and two sweetheart great-grandchildren Nolan and Kieva.

A Kingstonian, with a long family history in the city, he was predeceased by his father Frederick Conway Keele and his mother Mary who operated the Princess Bowls bowling alley, as well as his brother Gordon (World War II) and sisters Jessie and Joyce.

Bob is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Cathy, Gordon, David, Karen, Paul and their families.

As his granddaughter Jacqueline said, He was the best storyteller and grandfather to me, the best husband to my Nana, the best father to my dad (Philip) and his siblings. He had the best sense of humour, the best laugh, and the most welcoming arms.

He was a World War II Veteran (404 Sqn, Coastal Command) and proud officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force; retiring in 1968. He continued to serve Canadians as a public servant working as an Employment Counselor at, what was then known as, Canada Manpower; retiring in 1983.

Our world will never be the same without him. He was our Hero.

In accordance with his family's wishes there will be a private funeral ceremony later in the week.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

Figueiredo DomingosFIGUEIREDO, Domingos - Suddenly at his home on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 59 years.

Beloved father of Diana Figueiredo (Jason Dunlop), Nancy Tertulien (Yvenson) and Ricardo Figueiredo (Melissa).

Cherished grandfather of : Nickson, Joel, Sophia, Gracelyn and Veronica. Dear brother of Laura Mendes (Jose) and Maria Conceicao Martins (Antonio) and his brothers and sisters in Portugal.

Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews in Kingston and Portugal.

Friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr. and Taylor-Kidd Blvd), Kingston, Ontario on Sunday, November 8 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Division Street, on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal with prayers in St. Mary's Cemetery.

TURKINGTON, Keith Edward - June 22, 1925 - November 5, 2015

Keith passed away peacefully at Fairmount Home with his son by his side.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary of 65 years and his much loved son, Michael (Kathy). Adoring grandfather of Danielle (Stephen Kennedy) and Kaitlyn and cherished by his 5 great grandchildren: Krystalin, Liam, Mairi, Julia and Ainsley.

Keith will forever be remembered for his good nature and generosity.

A family service will be held at a later date.

Many, many thanks to the caring staff of Fairmount Home for their kindness and respect and for giving Keith a home away from home.

For those wishing, donations to the Fairmount Home Patient Fund or Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board Foundation would be appreciated by his family.

Husband of Rita and loving father of Trever (Ashley), Kyle (Ashley), and Blair (Danny).

Cherished Opa of Darcy, Cohen and Daisy. Dear brother of Judy Martin (Dave), Toni Robinson (Tony) and Dianne Connor (John).

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sturgess PenelopeSTURGESS, Penelope (nee Brook Williams) MB, FRCPC - Entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the comfort of God's presence, at the Palliative Care unit, Brockville General Hospital.

Penelope leaves our community with many contributions personally, professionally and spiritually. She will be long remembered for her vision and guidance in the implementation of the Palliative Care program at Brockville General Hospital.

Penelope leaves to mourn her sister Chloe Besley of Winsham, England and Chloe's four children Gillian, Stephen, Phillipa and Nicholas; her brothers-in-law William Sturgess and Roy Sturgess as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Dr. John Sturgess, her mother, her father and brother-in-law Howard Besley.

Penelope will be fondly remembered by her close friends and numerous colleagues.

The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 66 Church St., Brockville on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10 am followed by a reception at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Interment.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to some of Penelope's favorite charities including Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the OSPCA Leeds Grenville Branch would be gratefully acknowledged.

Lee HaynesLEE, B. Haynes - September 4, 1963 - November 4, 2015

Haynes passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family, at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Kingston, ON following a brief illness.

Loved son of Isobel (nee Horsell) Lee of Winnipeg, MB and the late Reverend Bernard Lee.

Dear brother of Jack (Deana), Eric and Kenneth, all of Winnipeg and Norman of Prescott, ON. Also fondly remembered by his nephews, Thomas and Spencer, as well as their mother Sheila, of Spencerville, ON and numerous relatives in England and New Zealand. Haynes' furry feline companion "Zeke" will miss him too!

Haynes was born in Norway House, MB and raised in Little Britain, MB. He moved then to Thunder Bay, ON and attended Lakehead University where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering after which he pursued a long time career at R.M.C. in Kingston, ON.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the caregivers at Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, Kingston General Hospital and St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital for their exemplary care and compassion.

Cremation at James Reid Crematorium. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, Ontario, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Elizabeth Boehm-Wilson officiating. A reception will follow in the Reception Centre. Haynes' cremated remains will be buried in Little Britain.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society or U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario or St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care).

LeCLAIR, Anthony Evan - Passed away peacefully at the Wellington House Nursing Home, Prescott on November 4, 2015, Anthony Evan LeClair, at the age of 86 years.

Beloved husband of the late Norah (nee Wilson) and dear father of Kathy Hager (David), Chris LeClair (Kathy), Geoff LeClair (Lori) and Janet Burt (Dave). Also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Brother of Marvin LeClair and Valerie Cyr.

Evan also leaves a sister-in-law Geraldine LeClair and a brother-in-law Glenn Morris. He was predeceased brothers Gerald, Wilton and Don LeClair; by a sister Rita Plunkett and by his parents Belva and Anthony LeClair.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a reception to be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, Ontario on Monday November 9th from 12 noon until 2 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the South Grenville Art Guild will be gratefully acknowledged.

Foley JohnFOLEY, John Harold - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Fairmount Home in Kingston, ON, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in his 85th year.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Joan (nee Fraser).

He is the proud father of Donald (Deborah) of Calgary, Douglas (Christine) of Kingston, Christopher (Linda) of Trenton, Edward of Kingston and Elaine Ainslie (Malcolm) of Kingston.

He was also the proud grandfather of Jenna, and Kaitlin Foley, Steven and Christopher Gerdis, Chelsea Foley and Ian and Everett Ainslie. John was predeceased by his sisters Mary Calleri and Ruth Foley and will be sadly missed by his many nieces, and nephews and their families.

John was trained as a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air force and later worked with Quaker Oats of Canada until his retirement. He was a long-time member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Trenton, ON, where he was a member of the choir, an Elder and the Clerk of Session. Johns interests were in flying, sailing and travelling with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his adventurous spirit, his kindness and his wonderful sense of humour.

In keeping with John's wishes a private family service will be held.

For those who wish, donations in John's memory may be made to the Fairmount Home, Kingston, Ontario.

Dawson PercyDAWSON, Percy William - Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, Percy William Dawson, at the age of 91 years.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (Betty) nee (Russell) and father of Robert Dawson (Mariann), brother Ralph (Louise) Dawson, brother-in-law of Noreen Dawson. Percy was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Sheila Dawson and by brothers Ivan, Norman and Merrill Dawson and by sisters Beatrice, Marjorie and Muriel.

Amey ShirleyAMEY, Shirley (née Wilkinson) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 after a brief illness, in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of the late William “Bud” Amey.

Loving mother of Randy Amey (Linda) and Pam Guthrie (Wayne). Grandmother of Rachel Dodge (Kevin) and Justin Amey (Amy); great-grandmother of Bentley Amey.

Sister of Evelyn Twigg (the late Arthur) and Joyce Bellringer (Donald). Predeceased by her brother Donald Wilkinson.

Shirley will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place under direction of the Robert J. Reid and Sons Funeral Home - “The Chapel on the Corner” 309 Johnson Street, Kingston, Ontario. Private interment of ashes will take at a later date.
