Henry Kwarciak
1949 - 2024

Surrounded by family, Henry Kwarciak passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Cathy for 54 wonderful years, cherished father of Derek (Erin) Kwarciak and Shannon (Paul) Dinyer, and beloved “papa” to grandsons Ashton, Chase, Ethan, and Matthew. Henry will also be missed by his brothers Stan (Cathy), Cas (Debbie), and his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Valerie and Stan, and siblings Les and Mary.

Henry immigrated to Canada from Poland at age 11, showing resilience and determination in adapting to a new language and culture. His dedication carried through his life, especially in his career at Peoples Telephone, where he advanced from lineman to management. Henry’s greatest pride was his family, and he lovingly created a warm home, completing extensive renovations to build a space for many cherished memories.

Known for his skills and willingness to help, Henry enjoyed renovating homes, caring for his yard, and was affectionately known for his leaf blower. He also loved animals, often rescuing strays, and shared this compassion with his children. Henry’s interests included building model airplanes, riding his Harley Davidson with Cathy on trips, and spending summers camping with their family.

A private Memorial Mass will be held. In honor of Henry’s memory, donations may be made to the VON – Palliative Care.
