Beverley Ann Lamb (née McInroy)

February 23, 1940 – January 31, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family of Beverley Ann Lamb (née McInroy) announces that she entered into rest on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Beverley was born in Oshawa on February 23, 1940, and was the youngest of five daughters to Clarence and Mabel McInroy. She married Allan Lamb on November 20, 1959, and they shared nearly 58 wonderful years together before his passing in 2017.

Cherished mom to Susan Coutu (Mark). Proud and doting Nanny to grandchildren Keith (Megan) and Sadie. Exceptionally joyous Great “Ninny” to Wyatt and Keira. Lovingly remembered by sister Marie Mountjoy (late Lawrence) and brother-in-law Grant Pascoe (late Sylvia). Predeceased by her sisters and their spouses, Mildred Mitchell (Donald) and Doreen Shepperdson (Jack). She will be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews.

She will also be sorrowfully missed by members of the Lamb family: Joice Lamb (late Cecil), Ross and Bunny Lamb, Loretta Lamb (late David), Gloria Quibell, and Bob and Dorothy Duvall, along with their families who will forever have fond memories of Bev.

Beverley faced several health challenges throughout her 85 years but remained strong and positive in overcoming them. A faithful member of Centennial Albert United Church, she was part of the choir for numerous years. She worked at CIBC from her late teens until the mid-1990s before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren and travel. She loved exploring Canada, the USA, and the warmth of the Caribbean Islands.

With a green thumb, Bev eagerly welcomed spring so she could plant and nurture her garden. She enjoyed social events where she could chat, laugh, eat, and be entertained. A kind and gentle woman, she had a deep love for animals, especially cats, whom she adored and spoiled. She was also a true fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Oshawa Generals.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa. The Funeral Service will take place at Centennial Albert United Church, 40 Rosehill Blvd., Oshawa, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Friends of St. Peter's Church, Verulam Township, Ontario.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Oshawa Funeral Home.
