STRONG, Lawrence Nelson 'Larry' - Peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday, February 6, 2021 with close family by his side after a sudden stroke at the age of 82 years.
Larry touched all our hearts. He will always be very loved and dearly missed as the family patriarch.
Larry will be remembered for his brilliance and knowledge. He was the ultimate helpful resource on any matter.
Larry is survived by his wife Claire (Point) of 60 years and his children Kathy Hooey (Todd), Brian, and Kim (Rob Stickney). Larry will also be revered and deeply missed by his six grandchildren, Garrett and Jacklyn Hooey, Logan and Gavin, and Camden and Carly Stickney.
Larry was survived and will also be dearly missed by his mother Marion remarkably in her 102nd year. Larry was predeceased by his father Ross and younger sister Elaine.
Larry was the oldest of 8 siblings who were dear to him. His siblings included Lloyd (Patsy), Kay Stuparyk (Pat), Keith (Karen), Roger, Donald (Brenda), and Elizabeth Rowe (Rick).
The family would like to thank Dr. Lindsay and the wonderful Emergency and ICU staff at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.
A small private family service was held on February 7th, 2021.
