Susan Kay Larson
October 12, 1946 - March 14, 2025
It is with tremendous heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Susan, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love.
Her two daughters, Holly and Brooke, were by her side, holding her hands as she passed over. She was a loving, doting, and inspiring mother to Holly and Brooke, and a cherished mother-in-law to Brooke’s husband, Patryk. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Cassidy.
Susan was a dear friend to many from all walks of life and a beloved aunt to her nephews and nieces.
Born in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1946—just one year before the famous 'alien landing'—Susan lived a life filled with adventure, grace, and curiosity. She dedicated her career to shaping young minds as a passionate and creative primary school teacher. A lifelong learner, she found joy in reading, traveling, and embracing new experiences. The ocean was her sanctuary, and for the past 12 winters, she found happiness basking in the sun in St. Augustine, Florida.
Susan was a compassionate activist, always standing up for animal rights and important human causes. She instilled these values in her daughters, teaching them the importance of action and advocacy.
Donations in Susan’s memory to an animal protection charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
Mom believed: ‘Instead of complaining about things, do something about it - take action.’
