Karen Shearer Layton passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 85. Karen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend to many. Her generosity, kindness, and warm spirit touched everyone she met, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her life was one of service and devotion to her family, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her compassion, wisdom, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
Funeral Details:
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby. A Chapel Service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Interment at 11:30 AM. A reception will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Lawn Funeral Home.
