Ricky "Rick" George Leary

June 23, 1954 – February 10, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rick Leary, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Rick was the devoted husband of 46 years to Heather Leary (née White). Loving Dad to Jared and Josh, and adoring Poppa to Clara. He is remembered by Valerie Chassé.

Predeceased by his parents George Leary and Lois Wellstood, as well as by his siblings Ronnie, Louise, Annie, and Margie.

Rick is survived by his siblings Jim (Barb), Wilma, Emily, and Gerry (Tammy); his brother-in-law Brian (Janice), and sisters-in-law Heather (the late Blair) and Judy (Gerry). He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Rick was a master mechanic and a true Chevy enthusiast. Well known in the classic car and Hot Rod community, he will be forever remembered.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Barker Funeral Home (19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place) on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation or the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
