Walter Michael Leskiw

Friday, February 21, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Walter Leskiw on February 21, 2025, at the G.N.G.H., shortly after celebrating his 95th birthday.

Walter was the devoted husband of 65 years to Vera (predeceased, February 24, 2016).
He was a loving and steadfast father to Paul (Patti), Debbie (Vito DiMartino), Barb (Tom Liefl), Karen (Alan Janvary), and Jeff (Debbie).

Cherished Papa to Jennifer (Casey Smith), Amy, Lesley (Matt Miller), Jessica, Matt DiMartino (Olivia), Connor Leskiw, Marcus Leskiw, and Natalie Janvary (Vince).
Proud great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Walter was a kind-hearted man of great intelligence and unwavering dedication to his family.
Together with Vera, he built a successful life, running businesses while also earning deep respect as a General Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction at GM.

Passionate about finance, he kept a keen eye on the stock market and financial trends. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed tending his beloved garden,
fixing anything that needed repair, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He found joy in the sunshine, spending cherished time with family down south
and at his condo on Fort Myers Beach.

Walter’s family was his greatest pride, and he instilled the values of loyalty, perseverance, and love in each of them. He was the rock of the family,
the one everyone turned to, and he will be deeply missed.

Walter is resting at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, where his family will receive friends on Thursday,
February 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m., with interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Memories, photos, and condolences may be shared at www.morseandson.com.
