McLAREN, Lester G. - In Kingston General Hospital, peacefully, on Monday, February 8th, 2016.
Lester was predeceased in 2004 by his loving wife, Clara.
He was the dear father of David (Terry) McLaren and the late Lorraine (Jim)) Helsby. Grandfather of Amy (Fred) Hill and Danielle (Mike) Kwong; great grandfather to Charlotte and Grace Hill.
Son of the late Robert and Letitia (England) McLaren, brother of June (Bill) Robinson, Roy (late Lois), Correnne (late Don) Knowles and predeceased by Rodney, Harold (late Beth) McLaren.
Lester was a longtime employee and retiree of Dupont Canada and a devoted member of the Princess Street United Church. His last year was in the compassionate care of Trillium Ridge.
A memorial service celebrating Lester's life will be held on Friday, February 12th at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Kingston. Friends will be received before the service from 1:00-1:45pm.
In remembrance, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Lester's memory may be made to the Princess Street United Church.
