Judy Lynn Lewchuk

April 23, 1949 – December 27, 2024

Judy Lynn Lewchuk passed away on December 27th, 2024, surrounded by love and family. She was the loving mother to Jodi Lewchuk and a dear sister to Steven Mihoren (Cher), Janice Inkratas (Gary), and Jerry Mihoren (Bena). Judy is also survived by her Aunt Mary Bondy and will be greatly missed by many cousins, extended family, and friends.

In her role as a kindergarten and Sunday School teacher, Judy had a special connection with children, as her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews can lovingly attest. Judy was an active church member at both St. George’s Anglican and St. John’s Anglican, where she contributed in numerous ways, including singing in the choir, organizing bazaars, hosting church dinners, serving as a reader and warden, and volunteering at the food bank.

She also passed on the beautiful tradition of “pysanky,” a Ukrainian form of Easter egg decorating, keeping her Orthodox heritage alive for future generations. Judy’s abundance of lifelong friends, including the “Card Girls” and the “Birthday Girls,” will remember her fondly, along with the friends she made attending the Windsor Symphony, the University Players, and Uni-Com Lifelong Learning.

Judy was an extraordinary cook, avid gardener, and deeply cherished her family. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, compassion for others, and a loving heart.

As per Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234) on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, from 2 PM–5 PM and 7 PM–9 PM. A funeral service will follow the next morning at St. John’s Anglican Church (3305 Sandwich St) on Friday, January 3rd, 2025, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church or the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com.
