SHANNON, Lillian Joyce -
February 3, 1925 - January 28, 2024
Joyce passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas.
She was the daughter of the late Ken and Norma Nicol.
The last of the four Nicol girls from Madoc. Now at rest with her husband, John (1980).
Predeceased by daughter, Patricia Amberly (Dave) 1995; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Shannon (2006).
Loving mother of Rob (Phyllis). Grandmother of Kelly (Julian), Patrick (Adrienne), and Christopher.
Remembered as GG Joyce to Owen, Alec, Wesley, and Clara. John's career with the MNR brought her to White River, Sioux Lookout, Algonquin Park, and Manitoulin Island.
They eventually settled in Markham. Their roots were very deep in the Madoc area.
The foundation they laid is evident today, as family and friends continue to enjoy cottage life on the shores of Lake Weslemkoon.
Cremation has taken place and private family celebration will follow at a later date.
