Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews especially Ken (Geri) Major, Susie Daigle, Bruno (Karla) Major, Bud (Wanda) Thomas and Rolly (Laurie) Thomas, and by his cousin and best friend Bernie Major.
Dad was known for his quiet ways and he always looked forward to time spent at the family built cottage on Lac Beaulieu and tinkering in his garage and workshop. He was a lover of dogs, loved his coffee so strong a spoon could stand up in it, loved gravy over everything, and was a fisherman extraordinaire.
Special mention to the kind, caring and skilled staff at St. Lawrence Lodge who made Dad comfortable in his last days and helped our family through with compassion and humour.
We are celebrating his life on Saturday, October 17th at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, Ontario where family and friends will gather from 2 - 3 pm with a service in the Chapel at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lung Association or your local Humane Society.
