Lorrie Lea Little (nee Lachine)

Lorrie Lea Little of Ridgetown, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on October 27, 2024, at the age of 67, just days after celebrating her 47th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, Ronald. Born on August 27, 1958, in Chatham, Ontario, to the late Leao and Earnestine Lachine, Lorrie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Lorrie is lovingly remembered by her husband Ronald; her son Matthew (Gaby); daughter Susan; and grandchildren Victoria, Claire, Matthew, and Abby. She is survived by her sister Cathy Harback (Greg Bushey) and many extended family members. Predeceased by her brother James Lachine (and Linda), infant sister Cheryl, and brother-in-law Wilfrid Harback.
Lorrie was an active and devoted member of her church community, sharing her faith and talents from her early days with Charing Cross United Church, through her time at Glad Tidings Assembly, and for the last two decades with The Gathering Place in Ridgetown. She provided musical leadership, taught Sunday school, and supported her church in countless ways. Her warmth and dedication were also felt in her community, where she was known for her beautiful singing at long-term care homes, weddings, funerals, and Sunday services.
Visitation will be held at Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at Charing Cross United Church on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., with interment following at Pardoville Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Charing Cross United Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Gathering Place Building Fund in Ridgetown would honor Lorrie’s vision and dedication to her community.
