Marshall LouiseMARSHALL, Louise  -   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Marshall (née Verrall) on November 29, 2023.

She will be leaving behind a legacy of love and service that touched the lives of many.

Louise will be deeply missed by her husband, Dan (Marshall); her daughters, Valerie and Laura; and her granddaughter Zara.

She will be dearly missed by countless relatives and friends.

Louise was born in Bistroff France on September 30, 1956, to Robert and Lucille Verrall, she was the second youngest of her three sisters, Pat, Nancy, and Lorraine.

The family moved to Canada, where she enjoyed a childhood in Milton, with many summers spent at the family farm in St. Thomas.

Louise served as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity and was the Chair of the Board Selection for Habitat for Humanity. She was also a President of the Big Sisters of North Halton, and a Girl Guide Leader, where her leadership and passion for mentoring made a lasting impact on the lives of young girls.

Louise generously gave her time to Heart and Stroke Canada and Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA). Her commitment to volunteering was recognized on a national level when she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2015 for 24 years of volunteering for the CDA.

In the realm of public service, Louise made significant contributions as a Municipal Councilor for Guelph Eramosa Township. Her dedication to the well-being of her community was unwavering, and she approached her responsibilities with a sense of duty and a desire to make a positive impact.
