Louis Roland "Lou" Lucier
May 5, 1944 – December 29, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Lou Lucier of Kingsville, Ontario, at the age of 80, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, after a brief illness. Lou was born in Chatham on May 5, 1944, son of the late Bertram and the late Cecile (née Couture) Lucier. Cherished partner to Lucille Boucher for 15 years, and beloved husband of the late Evalyn (née Grainger) Lucier (2007).
Loving father to Lori-Anne Lucier (Devin Pearson) of Chatham, Ken Lucier of Chatham, and treasured stepfather to Dan Boucher (Kim) of Stoney Pointe, Rachel Boucher of Kingsville, Rene Boucher of Windsor, and Melanie MacLean (Steven) of Comber. Proud Grandpa and Papa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will lovingly remember his devotion and support. Lou will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and extended family.
Lou was a hardworking entrepreneur who enjoyed his retirement with friends and family, especially in Naples, Florida. He loved being outdoors and supporting his grandchildren’s sports and events. Lou will always be remembered for his kind, compassionate, and generous nature, impacting the lives of all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Friday, January 3, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and a funeral service on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11 AM, also at McKinlay Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations in Lou’s memory can be made to Erie Shores Health Care or a charity of one’s choice.
