MENDES, Lucy - (1929 - 2021) - It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our darling mum, Lucy Mendes, née Lobo, on October 14, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Romualdo Mendes and daughter of late Cajetan and Priscilla Lobo.
Lucy is survived by her three children, Eva Pakyam-Martis (Clarence), Andrew Mendes (Eva), Rose Noronha (David), her grandchildren Ryan (Amanda), Josh (Charisse), Elissa (Scott), Tasha, Brett, Dylan, Evan, and Danielle and, great-grandson Maxome.
She went peacefully with her last prayer being “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give you my heart and soul”.
She accepted her cross during the past few years with dignity and grace as testified by those who looked after her, especially her caregivers at the Extendicare Rouge Valley Long-term Care Home.
Our darling mum was simple and lived her life to the fullest, her unconditional love for her family and those she loved and cared for all her life shone brightly.
She was dearly loved by her siblings, many nieces, nephews, their families, and by her friends across the globe. Thank you to all who were a part of her beautiful journey here on earth.
