

Emilia "Millie" Mildred MacDonald

Born in Rouyn, Quebec on April 5, 1929, Emilia “Millie” Mildred MacDonald passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, to join her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and her late husband Neil Campbell MacDonald. Millie was a beloved mother to Marilyn Shingleton and Robin Moore, and a cherished grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Millie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, having touched the lives of those around her through her family, work, and faith.
Millie was a passionate professional with accomplishments as a hairdresser, ECE teacher, and supervisor. She was deeply involved in her church, teaching Sunday school at both Knox Presbyterian Church and Hillsdale Wesleyan Methodist Church. Millie was a senior member of the Oshawa Festival Singers, founded by Elsie Drygala in 1972. She loved camping, traveling, and spending time doing jigsaw puzzles.
A private burial will take place at Mount Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Millie’s memory to Carriage Country Baptist Church at www.ccbch.com.
