In loving memory of Margarida Ferreira who passed peacefully, at Humber Meadows Long Term Care Home.
She is survived by her children, Adriano, Hilariao (Judy), Leonardo (MaryAnne); and her grandchildren, Katherine, Jason, Mark and Peter.
She is also survived by her brother, Alexandre. Margarida Ferreira, born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, embarked on a new journey to Canada in 1961.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Adriano. Margarida will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She cherished her annual winter vacations to her birthplace, Madeira, Portugal until very late in her life. She will also be remembered for her commitment to her church. Though she has left this world, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
May Margarida Ferreira rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever alive in the love she shared and the memories she created. The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at Humber Meadows Long Term Care Home for their compassionate and unwavering care.
Visitation will be held at Kane Jerrett Funeral Home at 6191 Yonge Street on Tuesday, November 28th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass and services will take place at Blessed Trinity Parish Church, located at 3220 Bayview Ave., North York, at 9:30 a.m., followed by Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday, November 29th.
