HAY, Marie Hay - Passed away peacefully, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, on December 4, 2023, in her 88th year.
Marie was raised in Swinton Park, near Dundalk, Ontario, by her parents, Bill and Teana Hay.
Her thirty-year teaching career began in Shallow Lake, Ontario and continued in Toronto at various schools for the balance of her career.
Marie loved teaching kindergarten, and she influenced and nurtured a whole generation of five year olds!
Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh will be missed, as she uplifted her dear friends and family. Marie loved living in Toronto, with its diverse cultural opportunities.
Marie has touched each of us in her own special way and we will miss her deeply.
Marie's wishes were to have no formal funeral, but of course, you are welcome to remember such a dear friend as Marie, in your own personal way. Marie would like it that way.
Cremation has taken place. Rest in peace our dear Marie.
If desired, memorial donations in Marie's name can be made to Sunnybrook Health Care Center, the A.G.O., the Aga Khan Center or Koerner Hall.
