OLIVER, Mary Elizabeth -
May 12, 1937 - November 29, 2023
It is with deep sadness and great love that we mourn the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Mary Elizabeth Oliver.
She passed away peacefully on the morning of November 29, 2023, at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Robert Keith Oliver; her sons, David (Rita) and Daniel Oliver (Kim); her brother, Ed (Pat); and her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Josephine Oliver (Egan).
Mary was the 2nd youngest of 9 children, the daughter of Aldo and Verna Parlette.
Mary and Keith bought their first house in Scarborough and resided there for the next 62 years as they raised their family and made a lifetime of memories.
Mary had a love for reading, the theatre, the ballet, the symphony, the Blue Jays, and travelling the world. She was curious and inquisitive by nature and she balanced this with her infectious laugh and sense of humour.
A celebration of life has been planned for May 4, 2024, at the Pine Hills Funeral Home at 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sharelife, Doctors Without Borders or Habitat for Humanity.
