John Wayne McBride

June 8, 1969 – February 26, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of John McBride, aged 55, who left us suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. A cherished father, son, brother, and friend, John was deeply loved by all who knew him. His passions for cooking, live concerts, sports, and technology were defining aspects of his life, and he found joy in sharing these interests with those around him.

We will always remember his kind heart, caring ways, and deep love for family.

John’s legacy lives on through his beloved family: his daughter Paige Pelrine and her partner Taylor Hirschmugl, his parents Isabelle Long and Wayne McBride, his sister Pamela Shewchuk and her husband Rob, along with their children Benjamin and Carson. He will also be deeply missed by his lifelong friends Tracey and Sean Young.

A visitation for John will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 1:30 PM, with a reception from 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM.
